Introducing Reason 4 covers basic and intermediate use of Propellerheads’ Reason software, including all of the program’s virtual instruments, audio effects, and sequencing functionality. Along with the necessary technical information, each chapter includes a consistent focus on encouraging experimentation and emphasis on encouraging readers to incorporate their own ideas into the program’s workflow in order to use Reason in creative ways. A basic understanding of digital synthesis, which can open up incredible possibilities for creating sounds with Reason’s synthesizers.
The process of creating samples from any sound source with Reason’s NN-XT and NN-19 sampler instruments, thereby encouraging the reader to seek out their own original sound sources.
