Writer Ian Stafford's quest to play alongside some of Britain's top sporting stars reveals what it is that makes them the top in their field. Fulfilling his dreams, Ian Stafford joined Everton at Goodison Park, wrestled with Pat Roach, played for Yorkshire on their cricket tour to South Africa, played for Wigan Warriors in the traditional Boxing Day rugby league derby against St Helens, and for Leicester in rugby union (almost scoring a try in Ireland), he raced against Eddie Irvine and Johnny Herbert and sprinted against some of the world's top athletes.
