Change In The Garden
This book has one over-riding objective - namely to improve the quality and enjoyment of our garden. The death of a large tree will leave many plants again exposed to harsh sun and sometimes wind. A garden designed to present a certain appearance and remain this way is doomed to failure. We must accept that change in the garden is inevitable and constantly seek improvement in design and adapt to changing environmental conditions.
Contents include: establishing a theme; microclimate and its importance to landscape; establishing the new garden; the mature garden; the old garden and its rehabilitation; theory and practice in horticulture.
