Twenty years ago, Peggy Muryan was a famous folk singer. She moved to the big white house in Hamelin, Tennessee to start a new life, to forget what happened then.
First there's the postcard, with the strange message from Peggy's past. Then a quiet local girl who looks like Peggy once did vanishes without a trace, and the sheriff can't write the case off as an annoying prank any more. Someone is frightening Peggy Muryan. And frightening Sheriff Spencer Arrowood too.
Sometimes the past can't rest, and those who try to forget are doomed to relive it.
