The cover and each of the spreads ha a vinyl pocket on which a costume is printed. Attached to the spine of the book by a ribbon is a child--on one side of the card, a boy and on the other side, a girl.
When the figure is inserted into each different pocket, he or she is instantly transformed into an astronaut, a firefighter, a pirate or a knight.
