In the faraway city of Nukus, amid the desert of northwest Uzbekistan, the passionate art collector Igor Vitalievich Savitsky (191584) assembled a vast treasure of artworks.
Homage to Savitsky presents selected works from the museums holdings and from private collections in Moscow, shedding new light not only on the achievements of this remarkable personality in a time characterized by repression but also on some of the artists whose legacy he preserved.
