Sure they're heroes. But not all are super. Heroes presents the work of Adrian Tranquilli, one of the most interesting artists on the Italian contemporary art scene. Tranquilli's work is a recreation of images from different contexts, an original and poetic universe of signs that emphasizes the state of emergency of contemporary society's cultural models. Christ is lying, crucified, with Batman's symbol blazing across his chest. And Yoda, of Star Wars fame, is dressed exactly like the Pope.
