This second book from Fiona Roediger, author of the successful 'Smoking Ideas', introduces another sixteen smocking patterns for children's clothing, all with detailed instructions and diagrams. Some of the patterns are made more elaborate by the addition of embroidered flowers within the design or the use of satin ribbon interwoven with the smocking.
The patterns range in difficulty from those suitable for beginners to others more suited to experienced workers. The smocking has been made up into a charming collection including a christening gown, baby wear, a nightgown and a number of young girls' dresses, all beautifully illustrated in colour.
