The Goon recently was the subject of a Kickstarter campaign for an animated film by Blur Studios with David Fincher (Fight Club, Zodiac, The Social Network) directing. Series Overview: The Goon is a series written and drawn by Eric Powell (often with colors by multi-Eisner winner Dave Stewart). The series mixes comedy and violence with a supernatural slant.
