In a country left in tatters by the Taliban, a group of local and foreign journalists headed by Mahmood risked everything to launch a radio programme based in Kabhul, disseminating much-needed information to the countrys people in the midst of the 9/11 aftermath. Despite the ever present threat of death, these individuals risked everything in their quest for freedom.
