2009 marks the 40th anniversary of Amsterdam's Gerrit Rietveld Academy. During this time the department has built up an international reputation and is now justifiably one of the world's leading glass schools. The many national and international graduates from the Rietveld Academy have, to a great extent, defined Dutch glass art.
