In response to the horrors of the Vietnam War and the US crackdown on protesting for peace, John Lennon and Yoko Ono staged a bed-in whereby they remained in a hotel room in Montreal for a period of eight days in 1969. It was duing this time that John wrote the lyrics to what would become the famous anthem, 'Give Peace a Chance'. Various journalists, musicians, celebrities and fans came to visit and sit with John and Yoko throughout the bed-in.
