George was born on October 4th 1979, in Melbourne. He is most famous for co-presenting the hit television show MasterChef. After his apprenticeship from Raymond Capaldi he teamed with Raymond and fellow MasterChef host Gary Mehigan to open Fenix. George owns a total of four restaurants, three in Australia and one in Greece. His restaurant, The Press Club, was awarded Best New Restaurant in 2008 by The Age Good Food Guide, and George won Chef Of The Year.
George's Hellenic heritage has strongly influenced both himself and his cooking, in part inspired by his mother and grandmother. In was in their kitchen's that a young George began his love for food and his lifelong dedication to it.
