When Elise Sherborne learns that she has inherited a ch teau in the Dordogne she imagines a life of rustic ease perfectly suited to her romantic, rather lazy personality. Only when she moves to France does she discover that Ch teau La Fleur is a crumbling ruin and the money that goes with it is hopelessly inadequate. She also has a tenant, the super-masculine, very attractive but arrogant Jean Belair. But when a man from her past turns up at the chateau she finds she is torn. She is forced to choose between them.
