Zoë and Jill once shared the same bra size. Not anymore: childhood memories seem to be all they have left in common. Zoë's world is a stage; Jill's is a two bedroom flat and a baby. Zoë is framed by neon lights, Jill by the warm glow of motherhood.
As Jill contemplates the possibility of carrying a baby for an infertile couple, Zoë battles bulimia and has her breasts reduced for cosmetic purposes. When Zoë arrives for a visit, worlds collide, and an unexpected turn of events leave Jill realising that, in the end, the only person you can be sure you'll spend the rest of your life with is yourself.
