With this group of works, Brettle captures the diversity of the service. Brettle manages to capture the individuality of the officers and support staff in their working environment, and her photographs clearly show the extent of the Scottish Police's work including community liaison, armed response, forensics, detective and mounted personnel. Brettle's images are discussed in the accompanying essays, as well as the development of contemporary policing in Scotland. Also included are personal commentaries written by the officers and support staff who were involved in this innovative project. Publisher National Galleries of Scotland Size 220 x 245
