Flying

What do people always want? Sex. And more sex. So it seems to the crew of an airliner flying from London to New York and back. As Greg pilots the plane through the thinning, choppy atmosphere he begins to feel the pressures of age and of his heart, while Dan, the young first officer, wonders just how suited he is to this aerial life. Selina, recently promoted to cabin manager, realises she's petrified, and not only of flying.

Becky can't decide whether or not her engagement to another first officer is a terrible mistake - and what it might be like never to have a fling again. Nigel, worried about his dying, repressive mother, wonders whether he'll ever be able to adjust to the sexual liberation he knows her passing will inspire. New boy Tim fancies men who never fancy him, and the veteran Wendy is no longer so fussy as long as she has a warm body to snuggle up to in a lonely hotel room.

The crew's anxieties come to a head when they have a wild party down route in Manhattan. The repercussions of that night haunt the journey home until they can be contained no further.
