When Richard Feynman gave the two-year course on physics that would become the famous Feynman Lectures on Physics, four lectures given as review lectures late one semester were left out of the published set. In them, he covers the rudiments of the mathematics needed to follow his course and then offers examples, meant to aid in problem solving as well as in learning how to connect equations to real-life phenomena. Also included in this collection is an essay by Matthew Sands, one of the original collators of the Feynman Lectures, who discusses the origins of the collection and the lectures themselves.
