Fergus is different to other dragons. But when people make fun of him, he has an ear-splitting, eye-watering, toe-curling, stink-making response. He farts! When a cheeky knight in a fire-proof suit steals a precious dragon egg, the other dragons are at a loss. It's left to Fergus to get the egg back from the thieving knight. A rhyming story that celebrates difference in an entertaining way, Fergus the Farting Dragon is set to delight adults and children. AGES: 2 to 10 AUTHOR: Monique Mulligan is an author and interviewer, who lives in Perth, Western Australia. A former journalist, news editor and publisher, she combines part-time work at an arts centre with freelance editing and novel writing. Monique has had three picture books published, and short fiction in various anthologies. Her debut novel Wherever You Go features one of her favourite things: food. Veronica Rooke first picked up a pencil at five and... well.. hasn't put it down since. She felt she'd reached the dizzying heights of fame at 13 when her very first six-part comic was published in the local newspaper. But it has now been delegated to the 'never to see the light of day again' file! She won money in a cartoon competition at 16 and thought 'I can make a living out of this'. She has done that since 1987. Veronica is the first to admit it's not been as easy as her naive teenage self imagined it to be. But learning to take harsh criticism and turning rejection into success has been invaluable. She has created many illustrations in different styles, including two- and four-page comics, a six-year comic serial, a graphic novella and a 10-part science feature. These have appeared in the School Magazine and Oi Oi Oi comic.
