Kahlil has decided it's time to settle down and commit to Cece, the one woman he truly loves, but as their relationship deepens, the other women in his life (his mother, sisters, friends) look to him for advice and support with their own lives. Kahlil must help his sister Leandra raise her son, Sid, who without a father and true sense of family, becomes involved with the local gang, The Get Paid Crew. Sid's life takes a turn for the worse when he inadvertently kills his father who has finally located Leandra's whereabouts and wants to become a part of Sid's life.
Through Kahlil's involvement with the urban coalition, he must convince his colleague (and former lover), Sonje, to dedicate her time and television show towards helping out the community, but Kahlil's efforts blow up in his face when Sonje takes advantage of her work with the coalition to unjustly expose Kahlil's close friend, Demitrious, who left his son out of a fear of his past. Finally, Kelly, Cece's girl friend manages to drive a wedge between Kahlil and Cece when she decides to "help" Cece out.
Filled with strong, memorable characters and twist after twist, 'Fed Up With Fanny' addresses real social concerns through an energetic, respectful, and engaging voice. Ultimately we discover that the choices we face in life may seem like ours alone, but the consequences reach far beyond ourselves.
