This is what being an Elder of Excellence means to Louise Hay:
"When I speak of becoming an Elder of Excellence, I am taking about bringing a whole new set of attitudes and perspectives to the idea of aging. In the old days, if someone was over the age of 50, he or she was written off as being over the hill. However, today we are beginning to expand our consciousness in new and different ways so that our old views and judgments are no longer applicable.
Becoming an Elder of Excellence means seeing our life span increase, as well as our health, wealth, and value to society. We no longer have to sit on the sidelines, watching silently as the younger generation makes laws, set policies, and has all the fun. We can be at the forefront of our new society. We can speak up, act up, and live and love with all the passion and fervour that marked our younger years.
You are what you think, so if you don't think that being a certain number equates to being sickly, poverty-stricken, or unattractive, then it doesn't have to be so. Why not think of yourself as young and vital no matter what age you are!"
