Durer's Fame presents a selection of outstanding Albrecht Durer impressions from the National Galleries of Scotland. Examining different aspects of fame, it also features contemporary and later copies, imitations and forgeries, as well as portraits of Durer and works that reflect his art. In addition to famous Italian and Netherlandish examples it includes works by British artists such as John Runciman and William Bell Scott, whose response to Durer's art is less well known. 20 colour illustrations
