AUTHOR: Elizabeth Martins, a Philadelphia native, embarked on a diverse publishing journey after studying communications at Temple University and earning a master's degree in publishing from Rosemont College. She began work as a writer and illustrator for the Temple News, then as a photographer for The Philadelphia Metro Newspaper and poetry book reviewer for The Philadelphia Inquirer.
