Radio and TV personality, Heidi was always the girl who wore a cardigan in summer to cover her arms, and board-shorts to the beach on the rare occasion she dared to go. She knows what it’s like to feel alone, deal with debilitating anxiety daily and constantly try to please people. Pretending to be okay on the outside, while inside suffering crushing insecurities.

After breaking down on live radio to 300 thousand listeners and making the nerve-racking confession,

“I wish I could sit here and tell you that I love myself because that’s what people expect me to say, but I can’t. I absolutely hate my body…”,

she experienced a life-changing moment.

Her gut-wrenching admission forced her to embrace her vulnerabilities, challenge her old beliefs and learn how to say a big fat ‘’Fuck You” to unrealistic beauty standards, and a big ‘’Up Yours’’ to all diets and society’s expectations. Heidi has spent the last 11 years trying a million different things and learning to say NO to all the stupid lies she told herself.

In her cheeky memoir Heidi will show you how she dealt with her inner mean girls who told her she wasn’t skinny enough, good enough or simply that other people mattered more than she did and inspire you to STOP worrying what other people think and take your power back!

Today you’ll find Heidi in her red bikini or walking through shopping centres in her bra and undies empowering women to love themselves just as they are.

MUST READ
This has been a book I have not been able to put down. So much of this story I resonate with, at times I get it was my words I was reading. So real and so raw! I came across Heidi on podcast and immediately raced out to get her book once it was released. I have always been the “big” girl, the “loud” girl, the “goofy” girl. I was diagnosed with anxiety 20 odd years ago and it’s been a life long battle. I’ve learned to mask those anxious niggles and voices over the years. I’ve deprived myself from many experiences from the worry of what others would think. Well - NO MORE! Not after absorbing these words! Im making changes already, along with swimming in the ocean twice - bearing my vulnerability to the world while I “shed my shit”. And it feels good. Very well written, real, true and a delight to read. Do yourself a favour and invest in this book, as it will encourage you to invest in yourself!

Every BODY needs this book - Honest, Refreshing and Mind Informing
This is a book that should be on everyone's TBR list. Incredibly honest, there are so many 'aha' moments around how we treat ourselves, see ourselves, and most importantly how we need to just give 'ourselves' a break. Heidi's life is reflective of so many women and men - our approach to - Body Positivity, Mental Health and Well-being, parenting, working parent - and the bullshit we feed ourselves. THis book will be re-read, and, re-read
