Alex is a total space cadet! "He's not really with us, is he," says his mother, and she's right . . . he's not!
Alex spends most of his time daydreaming in the clouds above his school, which is where he meets Zac, another "professional" daydreamer, from a different school. Zac shows Alex another world up there called "Head in the Clouds", a fun park for terminal dreamers like themselves. It's run by the slightly dodgy "Mr Six-Pack Sam", a bank manager who buys dreams in exchange for ride tokens.
This would all be fine but Alex is doing badly at school. If only he could find a way to make good use of his daydreaming.
