Even though Bonnie knows that Joan is an alcoholic and her words often mean nothing, when the safety of her three-year-old daughter Amanda is at stake she is unable to ignore the call. Instead, Bonnie agrees to meet her husband's ex-wife at an open house on Lombard Street. When she arrives, Joan is sitting at the kitchen table, shot through the heart.
Suddenly Bonnie's carefully constructed world is spiralling out of control and she's a number one suspect for murder. Fighting an increasing sense of paranoia, Bonnie knows she must confront Joan's killer in order to save Amanda's life - and her own.
