As soon as Robin Brogan meets the new family next door, he suspects his life will never be the same again - and he's right. The twins, Ant and Perry, vegetable-loving Beany and daydreamer Sun Dance are as unusual and funny as their names. Robin, who's afraid of dogs, even manages to make friends with Old Blanket, the Robinsons' scruffy mongrel.
But it's Sun Dance who cries "He'll be yours!" when Robin finds an abandoned dog. And so Robin begins to dream of the day when maybe, just maybe, he can call Dog Friday his own . . .
