Horatio Nelson was a vivid and frank letter writer and his collection of letters has been compared with those of Pepys, Byron and Keats. The one edition of these letters was first published between 1844 and 1846 and is here reprinted in seven volumes. Volume IV covers the period from September 1799 to December 1801, including the end of his time at Naples and his great victory at the battle of Copenhagen.
