Rusty to start off but still good Pratchett
I wanted to give this a 3 star rating - but that's only in relation to the other discworld books. In terms of overall reading it's still great stuff and deserves the extra star.
Seemed to take a while for T.P. to warm to the story this time. It was an awkward start and while his satire is great it was a little light on quips. Then again I am an uneducated Aussie reading a book about "Football". What would I know? I'd suggest there's plenty that goes over my head. None-the-less I enjoyed getting to know the many new characters and thoroughly enjoyed the read. For those who are new to T.P., it is very easy reading and there's no reason you couldn't start off with this book.
Now there's a hole in my life until his next book. Oh the waiting.
