Hunter is known as the Demon Slayer. Hes hired by Mamna, a former priestess and the leader of Freetown, an 1850s era frontier town on an alternate Earth, to bring a thief to justice. Hes told that the thief is a spawn, a half-demon woman. At first Hunter is skeptical because spawn are male, and born in monster form. He hates spawn almost as much as he hates demons. If he brings the thief to Mamna, Mamna will turn her over to the Demon Lord.
