Darkmere certainly surprised me! I was expecting a light-hearted, easy read with a generic start, climax and resolution but I was happily surprised with a darker, mature tone and evocative language that immersed me in the novel's world. The two character's perspectives left me constantly guessing at how their two worlds would collide and I was constantly unsettled by the creepy happenings at Darkmere, and couldn't wait for all to be revealed. - Taylor (QBD)
