It's the Christmas season and all hell's breaking loose. Literally. While humans shop, an angry demon lord is plotting an all-out onslaught against his enemies, which - unfortunately for us - includes the human race. But as Stryker gathers his forces, he discovers a grown son he never knew existed and an angry ex, Zephyra, who's as determined to end his existence as he is to end ours. The ultimate predator is about to meet his match as new battle lines are drawn and the Dark-Hunters are rallied for a blood bath on Christmas Eve. The only question is this: can Stryker survive his oldest enemy to fight the ones he really wants to kill - or will Zephyra finally have her shot at the husband who abandoned her?
Guys You Love To Hate.... And Hate To Love
Stryker, Stryker, Stryker. Any hatred I felt for this notorious baddie flew out the window when I read this book(much to my annoyance). As much as I wanted to hate Stryker for everything he'd done to the beloved Dark Hunters, I simply couldnt. However, I absolutely loved his leading lady Zephyra, who had the right idea about taking his head off. Whoever said it was right. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. And Zephyra does give Stryker his own personal hell. Bringing back the Gallu that we first met in Devil May Cry, One Silent Night gives an interesting look into both the lives of the Daimon's and the mind of their ruthless leader that may make you second guess how much you dont like either of them. I know it made me. Another notable point would have to be Apollymi. If you werent confused about her intentions before, you sure as hell will be now. And kudos to Savitar for putting up with her. I loved this book, much like the others, but this one holds a special place for me since it allowed me to play devils advocate. Now, I feel sorry for both the Daimons and the Dark Hunters. But still the Dark Hunters moreso.
