A quirky tale of hairdressing, love and fierce revenge . . .
Kathleen is a hairdresser who runs her own small, no-nonsense suburban salon. In her early 30s, she's just managed to escape from her overbearing mother to a flat of her own.
Jim, her neighbour in the block, comes in for haircut. Soaping his hair in the basin and noting the shape of his hairline, Kathleen falls for him and they start an affair. But Jim isn't the man Kathleen believed him to be, and he soon dumps her unkindly and takes up with a newer neighbour instead. Kathleen is not usually one to bear grudges but when the opportunity for revenge arises, well, what's a girl to do?
Clever writing cut with a mix of black humour and pathos, this is a very human story about love and its consequences.
