'Composers' Houses' takes us in to the homes of over twenty great international composers, from Mozart's house in Salzburg to Chopin's in Nohant, where he conducted a passionate affair with George Sand. The composer's house, whether it is where he grew up or retired, a family home or a simply furnished apartment, reveals the secrets of his private life, his passions and disappointments, his musical creations and personal aspirations.
The homes are filled with period instruments, mementoes, musical scores, contemporary busts or paintings. From Brahms' spartan two-room apartment to the extravagant Moorish palace that Ole Bull built on a tiny island in a Norwegian fjord, each home evokes the private life of the composer.
