Rooted in the secular mindfulness tradition, it uniquely blends Buddhist, evolutionary, and psychological perspectives, enriched by insights from neuroscience. Drawing on the authors' decade-long experience training individuals in compassion meditation, including at the Master's level, the book develops skills in stages. It begins with mindfulness, progresses to self-compassion, and then extends to compassion for others, concluding with a chapter on socially engaged compassion. This work complements their earlier title, Mindfulness Based Living Course, published by O-Books.
