'Collins Star Finder' can be used to locate the position of the stars on any given day at any time throughout the year. The circular planisphere works in a very simple way: just dial in the date and time by rotating the inner plastic disk - the time - until it lines up with the relevant day of the year calibrated on the outer ring. The portion of sky shown on the planisphere will show the arrangement of the stars above you.
The planisphere is accompanied by a 32-page booklet explaining the best way to observe the night sky and also showing the position of the planets for the next five years.
