The third Students' Workbook provides stimulating preparation, including exam practice, for Year 9 SATs. This unique course relates grammar to the language that students speak and write every day. The workbook creates both a record of students' achievement and an invaluable reference resource. It relates grammar to a variety of contexts, such as advertising, newspapers and fiction.
The use of The Bank of English database means that the examples are taken from living language to which students can relate. This course has been written in consultation with the former COBUILD Chief Grammarian, Gill Francis. The clear, logical order of units in the workbook forms a coherent course. As each unit is complete in itself, teachers can easily use individual units to reinforce the particular needs of any group in the context of other curriculum work.
The three workbooks are accompanied by a reference grammar specially designed for schools, which covers key terms, rules and usage.
