This first atlas introduces the younger pupil to photographs and mapping of a local are.From this beginning the atlas gradually takes the mapping through regional, national, continental and world mapping and concludes with global views of the wider world. Selective map labels highlight only countries or features which will be easily identified as the mapping becomes more complex. All maps are supported with short informative sentences which use a basic geographical vocabulary.
