The concept 'Collections/Connections' is the starting point of a unique exhibition organised by Grand-Hornu Images. The rich design collection from the 20th and 21st century of the Province of Hainaut contains over 70 pieces and is the only collection of the French Community that is open to the public. The exhibition contains big names from the Belgian and international design world, from art nouveau until today: Gustave Serruier-Bovy, Shiro Kuramata, Ettore Sottsass, Maarten Van Severen, Xavier Lust, Richard Hutten, Jasper Morrison, Matali Crasset, Ronan, and Erwan Bouroullec. This book, published in association with Grand-Hornu Images, immortalises the exhibition. It contains numerous illustrations, an essay by Silvana Annicchiarico, and texts by both Francoise Foulon and Pierre-Olivier Rollin.
