A touching story of friendship, growing up and dealing with loss.
The Hammerhead Light was a tower of stone. Sometimes it stood gleaming in the sunlight on the high headland of Hammerhead Rock like a great white monument; sometimes it loomed out of the black storm clouds like a tombstone for doomsday; and sometimes it floated magically on the water, holding up the moon like a monstrous golden orange. To Tessa Noble and the people of Snapper Bay the Hammerhead Light was more than a lighthouse. It was a symbol of all that was enduring and safe.
