changing habits, changing lives
This book is a breath of fresh air. It's about changing your bad habits bit by bit, in a way that will last through a lifetime. In a change from the normal dietary advice these days, the author recommends using butter, full fat dairy products, meat etc, and trying to eat a wide range of foods. It's very practical. Basically, it's about going back to the lifestyle habits of 30 or 40 years ago, when there was little obesity and much less of the lifestyle diseases that society seems to be plagued with these days. As she says, we may think that we are eating the same foods, but so much of is has been altered through technology that it's nutritional value is often severely depleted. I also have her cookbook, which has really good recipes, which I have found easy to start using, - so often you read health books that are full of food that you wouldn't eat in a fit.
