When nine-year-old Anghara Kir Hama is brutally orphaned, she loses more than a powerful father and beautiful, loving mother, forfeiting both her royal name and her home at Miranei, mountain capital of the land of Roisinan. Forced into hiding by her rapacious half-brother Sif, who, not content with her kingdom, also needs her death to guarantee his hold on the future of the Kir Hama dynasty, Ahghara must assume a maturity beyond her years to survive.
But within a few short years, when Ahghara's latent powers of Sight, feared and respected in Roisinan for centuries, threaten to reveal her presence to her enemy, she must flee to Sanctuary. But even there she is betrayed, and once more brings death and destruction to those who seek to shelter her, when Sif unleashes a violent pogrom of destruction in her wake.
Forced into bitter exile into the harsh, forbidden wastes of the desert land of Kheldrin, Anghara finds friendship, strength and the beginnings of a strange destiny in the scorching, deadly sands. In the desert she finally comes to understand her awesome power and godlike potential, as she grows in strength and prepares for her return to Roisinan.
Anghara's journey to lay claim to her rightful place as Queen Under the Mountain, is continued in 'Changer Of Days Volume 2'.
