"Miss Average, Miss Nothing-too-spectacular, Miss What's-her-name-in-the-third-row" - that's how Louise sees herself . . . an average teenager, trying to cope with high school, parents, friends and boys like every other girl her age. Then her science teacher, Miss Faey, pays her a visit and Louise's life is never the same again.
Louise discovers that she is a changeling, a fairy child, exchanged at birth with a human baby in order to gain a soul. At first, this revelation is too outrageous for belief but finding that she has magic powers, including levitation, persuades her that she is no ordinary girl.
This is just the beginning of her troubles, because the real Louise, raised in the world of fairies, is on her way back to the human world.
