Maxine is 12-years-old and she knows she's a pretty good all-round athlete - that's why she chose to go to her sports school. But by some fluke her school have nominated her for CAMP GOLD, an elite sports summer camp. She's really nervous - will she be good enough? The kids she meets at the camp are all incredible athletes, some like her friend Kayle are down-to-earth and friendly and other, like the West Side Girls have been training for years and are incredibly snooty with newcomers. There are a ton of cute boys too but Maxine is trying hard to focus on her sport... A near accident reveals Maxine's incredible talent for running. In fact, the coach is so impressed he's talking about entering her for the nationals which will be watched by Olympic stars. But she now has to cope with early starts and intense training. Worse, her talent is attracting jealousy. It's clear that someone is out to sabotage her chance at the nationals...but who?
