A chapter book for young readers.
Nothing seems to be going right for Callie Cameron. She has fought with her best friend Frances for no reason at all . . . her younger sister and brothers have become fiends who constantly torment her . . . her teacher Mrs Wheeler, whom she used to love, is just an old stickybeak nowadays.
Even the new house, whose old-fashioned grandeur had seemed to promise so much, is proving to be a letdown. Everything has turned sour all of a sudden and Callie longs to see Grandpa Cameron far away on the other side of the city.
Sure enough, Grandpa Cameron knows exactly what Callie's problem is, and exactly what to do about it. And very soon, Callie simply has to agree with Frances when she says, "You're the luckiest!"
