For more than five decades and during the Golden age of press photography, Bruce Postle captured significant moments in Australian life. His collection of over 60,000 images is a national treasure chronicling the highs and lows, tragedies and triumphs, and heroes and villains have given Australia its unique character.
Bruce was the official photographer for VRC for 30 years and At the Track captures his best 180 images from that time. They range from victories to tragedies, glory and disappointment, and the drama on and off the track. Postle’s special skill was being able to depict the bond between horse and human, such as the famous shot of trainer Tommy Woodcock and the champion stallion Reckless.
