Billy's not too impressed when he is stuck doing volunteer work at the Gardenvale Senior Citizens' Nursing Home. He would much rather be playing his electric guitar and listening to his favourite band, the Bindiheads.
Just when he thinks being a teenager couldn't get any worse, Billy get stuck with mean old Mr Santarini. They come from different worlds and can't understand each other's fascination with their own style of music. But when Mr Santarini's opera idol, Alessandra Farfalla, and Billy's rock guru, Gruff Gizzard, get together, they each start to wonder if there's not something to that funny form of music after all.
Billy and Mr Santarini form a friendship that gives each of them the chance to realise a dream. 'Bravo, Billy!' is a story of friendship and loyalty across the generations.
