Lying deep in the heavily wooded New Hampshire countryside, Bishop's Hill Academy is running out of control. Jim Hawthorne, newly appointed head, is pledged to save the school. Partly because he believes in it. Partly to exorcise the demons in his own past.
Desperately trying to overcome the petty resentments and corruptions amongst his staff, Jim realises that the school's crumbling gothic fagade hides a far deeper malaise. His fears are confirmed when a boy is found dead in the swimming pool. As autumn turns to winter, he discovers the real danger in the edgy, unsettled atmosphere that surrounds him. But too late to stop a terrifying madness being unleashed.
A chilling evocation of unexpected danger in seemingly ordinary lives, 'Boy In The Water' powerfully portrays the powers of good and evil that lie hidden within us all . . .
