Dalton promises to deliver a biography of Dylan that will encompass the story of the generation that came of age in the 60s. Dalton has access to all the key people in Dylan's inner circle and, apparently, to Dylan himself. He will attempt to explicate his subject from the inside out: examples include his account of Dylan's childhood in Hibbing and the first hand account of why Marianne Faithfull didn't sleep with Dylan in '66.
