Halloween has arrived, but so have spooky skul-a-mug-mugs who frighten the grown-ups into calling off trick-or-treating. It's up to the kids to take back the night! Told in nonsense verse, this scare-fest will have you yak-yawling with fun! AGES: 4-8 AUTHOR: Robert Heidbreder was born on the wet, muddy banks of the Mississippi River in 1947 and in 1970 he moved to the wet, misty skies of Vancouver, British Columbia, to pursue his degree in Classical Languages. His first book was Don't Eat Spiders, and his newest book is Lickety-Split. In 2002 he won the Prime Minister's Award for Teaching Excellence, and in 2005 he retired from teaching after 30 years. His presentations to children in the schools and at festivals help keep the child within him alive, awake, laughing and rhyming away. John Martz studied graphic design and worked for several years at CHUM Television, designing broadcast graphics, logos and animation for MuchMusic, Space, Bravo!, CityTV and other television stations. During this time he became involved in the illustration community through his website Drawn, a blog devoted to cartooning, illustration and animation.
